Wildflower@Dullstroom Club

The club regularly arranges excursions to Verloren Valei Nature Reserve as well as an annual wild flower show in the reserve.

The following excursions are planned for 2012

Visit special orchid site.
27 January
Friday		 Verloren Valei. School groups.
Teachers & kids free.
Distance 35km		Meet at Post Office at 9h00.
Schools require own transport.
Educational outing.
28 January Verloren Valei. Adults R60pp, Kids = R20Meet at Mrs. Simpsons at 9h00.
Need wetland shoes and own refreshments.
4 February Verloren Valei. Adults R60pp, Kids = R20Meet at Mrs. Simpsons at 9h00.

Notes:

  1. As with all walks, good walking shoes are advised, as well as a Rain jacket in case of bad weather. For Birding bring your binos.
  2. The duration of all the veld excursions will be more or less 3 hours.
  3. The Verloren Valei Nature Reserve is accessible with a normal car unless extreme weather conditions occur. Certain flower hotspots will be visited on foot.
  4. The annual wildflower show will be displayed at a hotspot in Verloren Valei during the last weekend of January.
